About Zion

Hello, and welcome to Zion Lutheran Church!

We are an active, joyful, Spirit-filled community of faith that has been passionately serving God for 140 years! We celebrate our long and interesting history of being the church, while being committed to meeting the challenges and varied needs of people today.

We at Zion actively participate in God’s mission to the world by serving others and telling them the good news of Jesus Christ and His great love for all people.

We gather each Sunday to worship God, study the Bible, and to love and support one another as Jesus first loved us. In this way, God strengthens us to faithfully live out God’s purpose for us in our daily lives.

At Zion, we offer many opportunities for you to make a difference, in your own life and in the lives of others. If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to come and see what God is doing through Zion.

The purpose of Zion Church

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself”.

(The Great Commandment of Jesus from Matthew 22)

The mission of Zion Church

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

(The Great Commission of Jesus from Matthew 28)

  1. Overall the new website is very good and kept up-to-date. I like what I see here and appreciate your doing it.

  2. As a one that grew up in the Zion Parish in 1930’s and 40’s I appreicate the Web site very much, it keeps me in touch with those that are still there which I remember. Keep up the good work. Probably not many around that would remember me. Lebey Helmey

    1. Glad you have enjoyed the memories! It is so good to look back at those pictures and remember good times and good friends! The Youth have particularly liked seeing themselves grow up! Thanks for the comment…
